Zone awareness without turnstiles: why continuous reads win
Anchors and Tags give you zone-level awareness across an entire site without requiring people to pass through a turnstile. That matters most during evacuation, when funnelling people through choke points is exactly what you do not want.
Turnstiles are a boundary tool
Turnstiles are excellent for controlling who enters a site and for right-to-work checks. But once someone is inside, a turnstile tells you nothing about where they are.
During an emergency, a turnstile-based system can only tell you who badged in — not who is still inside a specific building or zone.
Reads at the points that matter
Anchors at gates, muster points and restricted-zone thresholds give continuous zone awareness. You know who is in each area without anyone having to stop and scan.
That is why The Salvus Network leads with continuous reads and integrates turnstiles only where boundary access control is already in place.
