Does it count people without any human interaction? For safety, a system that depends on people scanning or pressing a button will fail some of the time under stress. Passive reads of a carried tag are far more dependable.

How much fixed infrastructure does it need, and where is the data stored? Denser precision grids cost more to install and maintain; data residency and certification matter for procurement. Confirm both before comparing headline tag prices.
